The BA (Hons) Fashion Design course at the University of Bedfordshire wants to provide you with all the core skills you require for a career as a Fashion Designer. This includes creative and commercial design, pattern cutting and garment manufacture along with market and trend awareness, research skills and theoretical understanding. During your time with us, you will also be introduced to more specialist aspects of the fashion industry such as, knitwear, menswear, lingerie, tailoring and creative pattern cutting, all of which will help you define what kind of designer you wish to become. With ‘Live’ industry briefs and regular workshops delivered by practicing fashion designers, you will be able to build an innovative and creative portfolio that is ready for the fashion industry. Students also can develop their designs using the laser cutting machinery or the 3D printer, all housed in our dedicated MAC and digital suites.
