With an emphasis on the fundamental principles of economic analysis, the BSc Economics programme from the University of London enhances your analytical, quantitative and communication skills. We will consider you as an individual and take into account all elements of your application, not just your qualifications. We are looking for breadth and depth in your current studies and enthusiasm for the subject you wish to study.

In order to achieve 14 years of education equivalence from Higher Education Commission Pakistan, it is essential to have completed 12 years of local education (Metric/Intermediate) or 8 O-levels and 3 A-levels. In other instances, you will normally need to have the following for Standard Route:

At least 17 years of age on or before 30th November in the year of initial registration.
At least 2 A-level passes in non-overlapping subjects.
At least a C grade in English at O-Levels or demonstrate English proficiency by providing valid evidence.

Admissions open in January for the September session every year. Ensure you allow adequate time for your application to go through the normal admission procedure. Visit your nearest campus in time for securing a place in the programme.

The BSc degree is available through a 12 course Standard Route. To complete the programme in as few as three years, students must take the equivalent of four full courses per year.

Selection Groups

Aside from a few exceptions, each full course is examined by one three-hour unseen written examination and each half course by one two-hour unseen written examination. The assessment of some courses also involves the submission of coursework or a project – in these cases, details are included as part of the course syllabus.

The written examinations take place on one occasion each year, normally commencing in May. These are held at established examination centres worldwide. You will be required to pay an examination centre fee each time you sit an exam. .


The University of London fee will be directly payable to the university on the given deadline which will be accessible to the students on the official website London.ac.uk/fees. The latest update on fee is published annually on the same web address and on average incurs a seven percent year-on-year increase. The continuation fee will be due annually for the duration of the degree, whilst the module fee will be variable depending on the number of modules opted in a year.
Since the assessments are conducted by a third party, the examination centre fee will also be payable each time you sit an exam.
