Courses Overview

This course will help you develop a better understanding of accounting standards and financial regulations and provide the skills and techniques needed for making informed investment decisions in dynamic business environments. It will also help you understand the power and limitations of accountancy and financial techniques and how they complement other subject areas, particularly those which fall under the wider umbrella of business.

You can also benefit from professional body exemptions and is therefore accredited by ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Whales), CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants), and CA Singapore QP (Chartered Accountant Singapore, Qualification Programme).

ACCA awards exemptions from its certain modules for those students successfully completing relevant units. BSc Accounting and Finance graduates can also claim credit for up to six Professional Stage modules from the ICAEW required for qualification, depending upon the options chosen and grades achieved. Graduates who have passed the required specified EMFSS courses are eligible to receive exemptions for CIMA’s Certificate in Business Accounting (exemptions being granted for BA1-BA4) and also CIMA’s Operational Levels for P1 (Performance Operations) and F1 (Financial Operations) which count towards CIMA’s Diploma in Management Accounting. Graduates of these programmes who pass certain courses as specified by the Singapore Qualification Programme are eligible to apply for exemptions from a number of the Core Syllabus Areas of the Singapore QP Academic Base.
